So I’ve seen a lot of ‘Monthly Favourites’, may it be in the form of a written blog or YouTube video. I’ve always really wanted to do one but I knew I wouldn’t write a monthly favourites blog post till I felt I had a good selection of products or things I am genuinely excited about in the pervious month & think are worth your time reading about! So only because you get the April edition doesn’t mean you’ll get the May edition, as I want my content to have heart!

We will see how the months roll out!!

So here we have it, my F I R S T (of hopefully many to come) monthly favourites, the April 2018 edition!

TRESemme – Pro Collection – Botanique Nourish & Replenish with Coconut Oil & Aloe Vera!

I am forever changing, trying and experimenting with different shampoos, conditioners, oils and hair serums. I do firmly believe that it is good for your hair to change your shampoo regularly.  This shampoo I N S T A N T L Y made my hair feel 100% cleaner! and the S H I N E!!! Oh my days, its actually incredible! These products contain Coconut Oil & Aloe Vera, which is said to keep the scalp moisturized and healthy as well as encourage hair growth.

If you don’t believe me? Try it yourself! I purchased mine from Boots for the retail price of £2.49 each!

IMG_5343COLAB – Dry Shampoo

I actually discovered this Dry Shampoo super recently. I feel like my hair has become tolerant to Batiste dry shampoo concoction. Can my hair do that? I don’t know! However, due to Batiste Dry Shampoo lacking in the instant look of fresh, filled with life healthy hair, I simply had to look for a new one! & boy did I find it!

More about COLAB?  I hear you ask?

Well the packaging is C U T E! The individual names S A S S Y  & the smell is super F R E S H! The M A S S I V E bonus is… know the white ‘dust/residue’ most dry shampoos leave behind?

I know us bloggers, vloggers and online influences love to support one and other, so like me you will be happy to know that COLAB Dry Shampoo was created by the help of international blogger Ruth Crilly!

Vivienne Westwood – Bumblebee Pendant Necklace – Silver

I once was told by a Tutor that he only buys things that last, things that never go out of style & if that meant paying a bit more for those items then so be it. I do believe we all get to a certain age when we would like a piece of jewellery to wear all of the time, possibly to signify a point in our life, to remember someone or simply just because.  It could be a watch, bracelet, earrings or in my case a necklace.

The Bumblebee is said to be a symbol of community, hard work, success, brightness & love.

Its also very fitting for the time of year it is! Could I make seasonal necklaces a thing?

So who else has a piece of jewellery that means something to you? bet there is more than a few of you!!

Mark Hill Salon Professional – Magic Wand

Spring is in the air and I’m currently loving bohemian inspired light and wavey hair! The sun is starting to shine, the chill in the wind has dropped & all us girls need is quick and easy hairstyles to keep our hair fresh and fabulous when attending, BBQ’s, Party’s, Gigs and F E S T I V A L S!!

My current go to tool of choice is Mark hill Salon Professional – Magic wand, it comes with detachable spiral sleeve, variable temperature control and heat protection gloves mainly for your thumb and fore finger!

I bought this product a few years back (it is still available to purchase) and it always seems to make a  reappearance in my life spring/summer time. The Magic Wand on a low temperature is capable of making effortless beach waves, ramp it up a few notches, hold your hair taught for a few more seconds and you have a glam hairstyle ready for all ‘must attend events of S/S 2018″  !!

I find that the Magic Wand works better with my hair when, I’ve washed my hair the night before & rub a couple of drop of Lee Stafford Ubuntu Repair Oil through the mid-length to ends of my hair!

After Magic Wand use I suggest a light spray of Hairspray! I’m currently using L’Oreal Elnett Satin – Extra Strength infused with Argan Oil!

Dairylea & Crumpets

This is sooooo nostalgic for me! I use to eat dairylea melted in pasta, in toasties & I’m pretty positive even on our summer holidays in France my parents somehow found my favourite childhood cheese to spread on my baguette!

I recently rediscover Dairylea and now I will forever remember the Spring of 2018 filled with spreadable cheese!

App -Harry Potter – Hogwarts Mystery

This app was released 25th of April, so okay yess you caught me.. I haven’t been loving it ALLLL of April! B U T everyday since the release date I have been playing the game! Its based before Harry Potter was at Hogwarts, so it a whole new fresh storyline to unfold and discover! As I near the end of my first year I have learnt several spells, created potions, took part in duels and started my basics in flying!

This all sounds so funny! Like, its a game Fin CHILL OUT!

You get to dress & style your witch/ wizard avatar, as well as chose your house. I’m a Gryffindor!!

Few things to consider when getting the game are, have you got the patience? You have a energy level, which starts with a mass storage of 25! Each energy take 4mins to load! So if you have used up all your energy you have got basically two choices.. 1) wait till it loads 2) spend your diamonds! You can earn diamonds throughout the game but be carful, as with any app, they come with in app purchase!

Now go do something magical!!

Netflix – The Vampire Diaries

This is my new binge worthy series obsession! Its actually U N R E A L !! I can not believe I haven’t watched it sooner. I remember in college a few of my friends having the necklaces filled with ‘vervain’, but quite honestly I was to hung up on obsessing with Pretty Little Liars at the time that I couldn’t of been less interested in The vampire Diaries!

Oh how I was wrong!

Five years later though… and I’m ready for this new obsession!

So I’m not going to give away any spoilers (please don’t leave any in the comments either), not even about what ‘Vervain’ is! All I’m going to say is, if you love supernatural, teen based dramas! Well this is for you.

I’m currently watching it with SDK, so getting through it a lot more slower than if I could just binge watch it every spare minuet! Tends to be a weekend kinda binge! Putting it in to perspective of how long it takes us to watch series together ( as we are constantly out getting distracted by.. well A N Y T H I N G), 13 Reasons why.. I sware we took longer than Clay to listen to all the tapes!

Soooo… go dig your teeth in to The Vampire Diaries!

There you have it, my first Month Favourites – April 2018 Edition! Hope you enjoyed reading, as much as I enjoyed sharing!

Till next time, love you in case I die!

  1. Absolutely loved this monthly favourites post! I need to invest in a good curling wand so I’m definitely going to check that one out! I also struggle to find a shampoo that works well on my hair so I’ll keep my eyes out for that Tresemmé one! I must have been living under a rock because I didn’t have a clue about that Harry Potter game! I binged nearly all of TVD a while back but I never actually got round to finishing it which is so annoying as I don’t know how it ends but I used to love it!

  2. This is such a cute favourites post, so many things I love too! ❤️
I’ve been wanting to try the COLAB dry shampoo for so long as I’ve heard great things but I always forget to buy it when I’m out, it may be time to buy some online. That Vivienne Westwood necklace is absolutely stunning, I love it so much, perfect for this time of year and a little reminder to work hard! 🐝 Ahh my god, Dairylea is my all time favourite, I could eat it on almost anything so another winner there 😋 And TVD is one of my favourite shows ever, I’m so bummed it’s over, but at least there’s still The Originals!

Thanks for sharing, loved it! xx
