Morning yall, how we all doing?
I’m currently airport bound and in an attempt to become more efficient with my time I’ve decided to write up a blog post on the go! Holy shit, am I a change women?!
Easter is around the corner so I’m bringing you another, easy bake, next to no mess and 100% will tickle your taste buds recipe!
Let get baking!
HOW TO BAKE EASY EASTER BROWNIES?
What ingredients will you need?
250g Dark Chocolate
250g Unsalted butter
4 Large free-range eggs
250g caster sugar
Salted Caramel food flavouring (optional)
2 1/2 Heaped tbsp Self-raising flour
2 1/2 Heaped tbsp Cocoa Powder
Ingredients for decoration
Punnet of Strawberries
250g White Chocolate
Orange food colouring
white chocolate drops (optional)
Step by Step Method
Step One – Start by preparing the baking tin. I used a silicone 20cm square baking tin and lined it with grease proof paper which I scrunched under cold water before hand. Also set your oven to 180c/350F/gas 4.
Step Two – Place a pan on the hob filled with water, bring to a slight simmering point and place a heat proof bowl on top. Now you can begin to brake your dark chocolate in to squares, dice your butter and add both to the bowl with a pinch of salt. Stir the mixture regularly and once fully melted remove from the hob and leave to one side to cool.
Step Three – You’re going to want to get a large bowl, crack your eggs in to it, add your sugar and whisk till light and fluffy. Once your happy, begin to sieve in the flour and cocoa. Continue to whisk till thoroughly mixed and full of air. At this point if you are wanting to add the salted caramel flavouring do so now, I highly recommend this step!
Step Four – By this point your chocolatey goodness mixture will have cooled B U T should still have a lovely runny consistency and warm to the touch. Begin to add this to your brownie mixture, remember to fold this in as you don’t want to lose the air you created by previously whisking your mixture.
Step Five – We are nearly ready to bake! Spoon all of your mixture into your previously prepared lined baking tray, spread it out evenly and place in your pre-heated oven to bake for 25-30 minuets. You’re looking for it to become crisp on the outside but ever so slightly wobbly on the inside, check this by giving it a little shake!
Step Six – Once you remove it from the oven, leave it to cool for 15-20 mins. In the mean time begin to break up your white chocolate and melt it the same way you did your dark chocolate B U T this time you won’t be adding the butter and salt. Once the white chocolate is at a delicious runny consistence remove from the heat.
Step Seven – Place a sheet of grease proof paper on to a flat baking tray in prep for your strawberry carrots. By this point your brownie should have cooled. Before adding the orange food colouring, add the white chocolate lines to your chocolate brownies, I simply dipped in a tea spoon and dangled it above the brownie moving it back and forth to create the lines.
Step Eight – Add a generous amount of orange food colouring to the remaining mixture of white chocolate and stir till the colour is evenly spread. Begin to dip your strawberries into the chocolate orange mixture one by one and then place them on to the lined baking tray to cool and harden.
Once cooled and harden, place them how you wish upon you brownies.
Bon appetite!
