THE AUTUMN TAG

Welcome Back!

Recently I was nominated by the A-MAZE-ING Foundations and Fairytales, to take part in ‘The Autumn Tag’. So make sure to check out her answers along with her amazing content! ‘The Autumn Tag’ is basically a series of Autumn based questions, I saw this around mid-september when I was researching blog ideas for Autumn, sooo I am super stoked that I have been challenged to take part!

Without further ado..

THE AUTUMN TAG

What signifies the start of Autumn for you?
Oooo well this year it was about mid-september when I started to see the changing of leaves and there was a nip in the air!

What is your favourite Autumn scent?
That’s actually super difficult. In particular this year I would have to say Wood Wicks Cranberry cider scent. I’ve only just discovered Wood Wicks and their candles are honestly amazing! Such amazing scents and they crackle like an open fire.

So yeah.. Cranberry Cider!

What is your favourite Autumn colour?
It’s a throw up between Warm mustard and Burnt orange! Normally I’m a Burgundy person through and through but I just feel like I’ve done it sooooo much I’ve switched things up a little.

Are you a fan of a Pumpkin Spice Latte?
I wouldn’t say I’m a ‘fan’ but yes I have tried one and would recommend them! I’m not someone who rants and raves about them.

What is your favourite Autumn drink?
Salted Caramel Latte

What is your favourite coffee shop and drink of choice?
Honestly, I love independent cafes. Especially the cute and quirky ones, the service feels more personal and genuine I find. Currently I’m all about (that bass! …kidding) ‘The Great British Cupcakery’. Thinking about taking SDK up to Newcastle because they have a Harry Potter Theme currently in store. My favourite drink from them is hands down their Pink Latte!

Apple pie or Pumpkin Pie?
Homemade ‘Spiced’ Apple Pie!

What TV show, new or old are you looking forward to in the next few months?

Channel 4’s ‘Celebrity Hunted’, which is supporting Stand Up to Cancer.
Netflix – American Horror Story – Apocalypse

What is your favourite Autumn fashion trend?
I honestly have no idea what is trending right now?

Personal style wise I’m loving novelty socks, cute dress’s with big chunky Doc Martens, Scarfs the size of blankets, Ooo suddenly all about Bennie bobble hats again and Stripy tops!

What is your favourite comfort food to enjoy in the colder months?
Cheese boards, with a mixture of everything. A bunch of grapes on the side, some chilli jams and a nice glass of wine!

Y A S S!!

What is your favourite Autumn activity?
Long forest walks, surrounded by crunchy leaves. This year little beagle bum Harry my family puppa will make these walk sooo much fun!

Are you a fan of horror movies?
Not really. Like they are not my go to pick. However, I’m easily convinced by SKD or AC to go to the cinema to watch the latest horror movies and be that one person screaming out loud with my hands in front of my face a strong 75% of the time!

Do you ever do anything fun for Halloween?
Yes, A L W A Y S! Pumpking picking is a must, followed by a pumpkin carving party with friends and family! Ooo dressing up for a party or night out! Recently added York Maze Hallowscream to my halloween traditions as well.

What was your favourite part about Halloween as a child?
Simply. My parents!

My dad would create games for everyone to play, stuff like wrapping each other up as mummy’s or apple dunking and his personal favourite was sort of a taste testing game. We would end up with our mouths on fire as one taste test would be a mouth full of chilli!

My Mom would always help us with our outfits, even last minute she would whip something up to make us look bad ass!

Are you a bigger fan of Bonfire Night or Halloween?
Halloween. As a creative weirdo, I just love a good opportunity to get all crafty!  I love anything from applying scary make-up to making amazing head pieces and even sometimes whipping up my own costume on the sewing machine!

Where is your dream destination to visit in the Autumn?
Canada.

Do you always forget about the clocks going back?
Yes. Thank god I have my Mom and a automatic reset on my iPhone!

When do you usually start preparing for Christmas?
Well I’ve already bought my rolls of wrapping paper, decided on three different styles of wrapping, started blog content and bought about 3 Christmas presents already. It’s only mid October soo.. yeah!

  2. This post was so much fun to read, what a cute tag! 💖I love autumn, and seeing all the colorful leaves too! 🍂It’s always so pretty! Scarves and cozy socks are the best! I’m a huge fan of oversized sweaters in the fall, personally haha! I’ve been super into burnt orange lately too. I’d like to find a sweater in that color!

Great post, hon! I love your blog! x
