5 WARM TONED LIPSTICKS PERFECT
FOR FAIR SKIN!

ACS_0346

Time to talk strictly lipstick, in particular warm toned lipsticks prefect for fair skin. I’ve been loving these 5 Lipsticks recently sooo much that I knew I had to sit down and tell you guys all about them!

Due to my pale complexion, I’ve discovered so far that either Nude or warm variations of red tones compliment my skin best.  Considering its a new year, I thought i’d throw caution to the wind and get a little daring… & I mean only a little. So I decided to do some mooching about and found myself 5 new Lipsticks, each one is very unique and bring something new to my make-up collection.

I honestly can not get enough of them!

Lets start traditional…

Colourpop – SEASON 10

ColourPop – SHAYLA X COLOURPOP – SEASON 10

How could I not purchase some form of red Lipstick? I decided to purchase my red lip shade from Colourpop cosmetics ‘SHAYLA X COLOURPOP’ collaboration collection in the shade ‘Season 10’.  I’ve been a fan of Colourpop for a while now, I actually did a recent review of one of their eyeshadow palettes that you can find here. However, during my latest review of Colourpop cosmetics, I unfortunately didn’t pick up any lip products. Never going to make that mistake again, as not only are some of their shades b-e-a-utiful but they are sooooo affordable and don’t get me started on the formula! Just… Y A S S!

‘This thin, lightweight formula smoothly glides on the lips leaving SUPER intense pigment with a blod, ultra-matte look. It is very long-wearing and 100% kiss-proof AKA no transferring’
– Colourpop Cosmetics

& I 100% agree!

Season 10 is described as a ‘Ultra Matte Lip’ product, it comes with what I believe is typically described as a Doe Foot applicator and its outer casing is half translucent so we can see the desired lip shade, with a subtle gold top and a splat design around the top half of the tube.

I find that with the paleness of my skin, a bright red lippy normally makes me look somewhat ill. Season 10 however has warm undertones, drys matte and is something I would consider wearing for a cheeky little cocktail evening especially when complimented with the right amount of bronzer and a smokey rustics eyeshadow look, I seem to be able to pull this lipstick off rather well!

Season 10 finally helped me crack my fear of a bold red lip!!

Season 10: $6.50

M.A.C – CORAL PLATED

M.A.C – Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour – Coral Plated

Not only is this the MOST daring, GLITTERY Matte Lipstick out of my ‘5 warm toned lipsticks perfect for fair skin’ collection BUT also my favourite lipstick I have ever owned! Y A S S! Living for this! To many explanation marks… must stop. Noted. We must be able to all agree one of the most important things about a lipstick (..after shade) is its smudge factor. This liquid lippy is sooo smudge resistant, I’m shook!

It is part of M.A.C’s Retro Matte Collection and is described as a metallic orange shade. I was so obsessed after swatching this shade on my hand that I decided within seconds it HAD to come home with me, only to find out that the store was out of stock of this particular shade. After hunting up and down the north-east of England looking for this shade, I finally got my hands on it! I was told a few times that it is rumoured to be discontinued. So now I’m seconding why I didn’t stock up on a few?

BTW, when I say hunted.. I mean I went to 4 different Towns/Citys and prowled the internet!

Similar to ‘Season 10’ the Coral Plated liquid lipstick has beautiful warm undertones, feels super chic and all of the 70s vibes with a splash of sparkle thrown in there! Coral Plated has a Reservoir tip which is by far my favourite applicator. It packs on a perfect amount of product and the tear drop shape makes for a easy application, especially when creating the perfect snatched look for your cupids bow.

Coral Plated: £18

Finally lets talk…

Anastasia Beverly Hills – ROSEWOOD

Anastasia Beverly Hills

ABH is my up and coming, go to make-up brand! & I’m slightly disappointed in myself for not trying her products sooner. To the best of my knowledge I believe I have never mentioned this company on my blog, so time for a little crash course for those of you who do not know much about the company.

Beauty entrepreneur Anastasia Soare originally launched her brand in 1997, then going on to create her first product line in 2000. Anastasia Beverly Hills was first known for their brow shaping products, since then the company has grown and is now best known for their flawless contour kits and many liquid lipsticks. The brand is said to aim for the ‘Ultimate Polished look’.  To end this little history lesson I thought I would also tell you this company is cruelty-free in formulation, testing and development!

So my final 3 lipsticks are all from Anastasia Beverly Hills, sit tight…

Anastasia Beverly Hills – STEVIE

Matte Lipstick – ROSEWOOD/ STEVIE

If you’re looking for a comfortable, velvety, matte lipstick… then look no further! Without a doubt the Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte lipsticks are the most light weight, perfect everyday lipstick you could come across! They’re super pigmented, long lasting and definitely a product your make-up bag is missing!

I am actually that in love with the formula I picked up two, Rosewood and Stevie. Rosewood is described by ABH as a ‘Cherrywood’ where as Stevie is described as a ‘Antique Auburn’. Both of which are very autumnal shades in my opinion and if you are a frequent reader or scroller of my blog or social media platforms you will know that I’m a all year round Autumn kind’a gal!

Rosewood: £18
Stevie: £18

Anastasia Beverly Hills – MAPLE

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Lip Gloss – MAPLE

‘Iridescent coppery brown’
– Anastasia Beverly Hills

Lip Gloss tends to be an ‘avoid at all cost’ kind of product for me… normally. There is nothing worse than tacky felling lips and constantly removing strands of my hair from the sticky residue. HOWEVER, I purchased this product to layer on top of Rosewood and Stevie. It’s kind of a starting point for me to possibly be more daring and try an ombre lip look. I’m constantly experimenting with my eyeshadow look but fail to get super daring with my lips.

Although as I’ve stated above its not normally a product I would go to, I found after a little swatching and application to my lips that is does suit me. Its super pigmented so even a little application and a good old smack of the lips to move the product around on your lips will leave a beautiful pigment.

Defiantly would recommend to those who want to glam up a Matte look. Just possibly avoid windy days or style your hair in a top not fashion!

Maple: £17

  2. These all look so gorgeous! I wish my skin would suit warmer tones of red, but it’s not the best match unfortunately 😦 would love to see some recommendations for cooler tones 🙂

  3. I don’t tend to buy MAC make up but I like the look of the colour pop lipstick. I would love to be able to pull off warm toned lipsticks, but I don’t think I do. Or maybe just my confidence isn’t great when it comes to wearing bold colours. Thank you for sharing these different lipsticks.

  4. I love the shades you chose – I have been wanting to try Anastasia BH for a long time and haven’t got around to it – their colors are fantastic!

  5. Ooh I haven’t tried any of these yet! I definitely struggle with warm tones too as I’m super pale. Reds are definitely one of my fave lippie colours to wear, anything orange makes me look bloody awful, though! My current favourite is Mauritius Dahlia from The Body Shop!
